Abstract

Web applications remain the most exposed attack surface of the modern enterprise, and thevulnerabilities that dominate them, such as cross-site scripting, injection, path traversal and request forgery, havepersisted for two decades despite mature knowledge of their causes. This paper presents a layered, evidence prioritised framework for mitigating these vulnerabilities in enterprise applications
