Abstract

The integration of natural fibers in concrete has gained attention for its ability to enhance mechanical properties while promoting sustainable construction. Among various fibers, coconut fiber stands out due to its abundance, cost-effectiveness, and environmental benefits. This study investigates the impact of coconut fiber reinforcement on the strength characteristics of M60 grade concrete, focusing on compressive and tensile strength variations at different fiber percentages (1% to 5% by weight of cement). Experimental results indicate that the incorporation of coconut fiber improves the toughness and ductility of concrete, with optimal performance
observed at specific fiber content levels. By reducing dependency on synthetic reinforcements and utilizing renewable resources, this research highlights the potential of CocoCrete as a sustainable, durable, and eco-friendly alternative in modern construction.
