Abstract

This paper will discuss the impact of behavioural biases, including loss aversion, overconfidence,and herding, on financial decisions made by Indian households. Based on nationally representativedata provided by the NCFE Financial Literacy and Inclusion Survey (2019), which indicates thatonly approximately a quarter of the Indian adult population exhibits basic financial literacy (NCFE, 2019), and the results of RBI Household Finance
