Abstract

The rapid growth of virtual currencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, and Litecoin has created new opportunities for digital financial transactions. However, this development has also attracted cybercriminals who exploit these technologies to conduct ransomware attacks. Crypto-ransomware is a type of malicious software that infiltrates a victim’s computer system through deceptive methods such as phishing emails, malicious downloads, or infected websites. Once inside the system, it encrypts important files and restricts user access.
