Abstract

The explosive growth of data has led organizations to establish data warehouse management systems (DWMS) as vitally important platforms for analysis and decision making. Transferring these systems into cloud setting will provide tremendous values, such as elastic scalability, operational flexibility, and cost-efficient use of resources. Yet this transition brings a variety of problems with it - complex data ingestion processes, unpredictable query latency, spiraling operational costs, and strict security and compliance considerations.
