Abstract

Background: Multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C) emerged as a severe post–SARS-CoV-2hyperinflammatory condition with frequent neurological involvement ranging from headache and encephalopathy to rare cerebrovascular events. Although clinical criteria established by WHO, CDC, and RCPCH facilitaterecognition, neuroimaging has become pivotal for characterizing central nervous system (CNS) injury, refiningdifferential diagnoses, guiding acute management, and informing prognosis. MRI consistently reveals a heterogeneous spectrum
