Abstract

The Digital India initiative, launched in 2015, aims to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. This paper evaluates the progress of Digital India, its global rankings in digital empowerment, and key initiatives that have driven digital inclusion across sectors. Using a mixed-method approach, the study highlights how Digital India initiatives such as Bharat Net, e-Governance, and Aadhaar-based platforms have enhanced connectivity, governance, and financial inclusion. Challenges such as the digital divide and cybersecurity issues are also addressed. Recommendations focus on bridging the digital gap and fostering
