Abstract

Numerical analysis using finite element techniques is carried out using ANSYS to evaluate the load carrying capacity of the flexural members. The maximum stresses obtainedare corresponding values of ANSYS Eight node, solid 65 element (brick element) with 3 DOF per each node is adopted. Element type selection solid 85, material properties input from stress-strain data, mechanical properties input data, material models input data, provision of input data for steel pads, analysis type selection static structural analysis
